History

IKAROS Press was founded in 2009 by Kristian Berg Nielsen and active under his auspice until he passed away in 2013. He was previously an associate professor at the Aarhus School of Architecture, teaching and researching architecture theory and history, and for many years responsible for their publications. Today, IKAROS Press is run by its co-founder, Ellen Braae, architect, landscape architect, and urbanist. She is a professor at the University of Copenhagen, an active researcher and architect also a member of the Danish Academy, and thus experienced within the fields of academic, artistic, and editorial work.
